"Ikenobo Ikebana with Native Autumn Plants"

An overview of Ikenobo Styles highlighting plant materials from our region was the theme for our October demonstation by Dede Walton.

Dede stated that she believes following the principles of harmony and contrast leads to a successful Ikebana arrangement. She created six arrangements starting with the formal Ikenobo styles. She then moved to Freestyle arrangements. Dede used materials from the araa with the focus on the colors of Autumn.

Dede’s presentation provided us with inspiration and ideas for the workshop that followed.
